I have been putting this off for a long time. After 25+ years in this scene; first with Pure Voice Communications and then with PureTrak, it's time to say goodbye.

I got into Counter-Strike on the first beta in 1999. That led to friendships and experiences I still carry with me, both as a player and as a CAL/CPL admin. In 2003 we officially started Pure Voice Communications, running voice and game servers for the people we were already playing with. In 2008, Nick and I started PureTrak, and what a ride it was. We set out to give casual and professional players a real alternative, something we thought was better, made in the USA.

Nick left in 2015, and PureTrak went fairly quiet for a few years. In 2020, Moe (m0e_tv) came on board and helped keep it alive for years longer than I could have done on my own.  I'll always be grateful for that.

Eventually, life got bigger than the company. Kids, less time to make products, and a gaming scene that I just don't feel the same way about anymore. I don't want to drag the name along after the interest is gone. It feels better to close it while I can still say thank you and genuinely mean it!

If you ordered a pad, argued with us about a surface, or spent years on a Pure Voice server before any of this existed: thank you! A lot of you were there for both. That's the part I will actually miss. The early years were magical.  The community showed up for us in ways I'll never forget.  And somehow, people still ask about the original Talent pad to this day.

PureTrak was a big part of my life. So were the people who made it what it was. Thank you for being part of it.

The site will stay open through the end of the year so we can sell through what’s left.
