Science? In a mousepad? Using a special blend of three polycarbonate polymer plastics and an innovative micro-reflective material, PureTrak has developed one of the first mouse pads which actually supports high DPI (Dots Per Inch) applications regardless of the movement speed or sensitivity. This robust blend of material has been proven to support over 5,000DPI using the Sun Microsystem DeveMouse. Thus, providing an extremly accurate and precise mousing surface which can be used for thousands, if not millions, of different scenarios.
Many people ask us what the difference is with our pad that seperates us from all the others. To start, the price. When we set out to design our products, cost was almost as a high as of a priority as quality. We wanted to make sure that everyone, not just the serious gamer/professional, could afford and fully utilize our products. We always figured, if you didn't like your pad... give it to a friend. It wouldn't be that big of a loss.
Our other difference, and this being the main one, is that our surfaces truly do help and enhance the use of your mouse movement. Sure a nice grainy, detailed plastic surface for a mouse pad is nice but after 2-4 weeks of continued use, the top surface begins to wear down and will eventually become a flat, smooth surface. Perfectly natural. However, unlike other surfaces, PureTrak's products continue delivering the same level of precision and accuracy for years of use regardless of how worn the top of the surface becomes.
